The news of Denise Richards leaving the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is still fresh. But I don’t think anyone is truly surprised. Denise spent the entire season defending herself. Against what exactly?
Well, for starters, the women of RHOBH picked on Denise incessantly for not wanting to talk about threesomes in front of her kids. When that didn’t land, the ladies moved on to endless speculation about Denise’s relationship with Brandi Glanville. In my humble opinion, whether Denise slept with Brandi is neither here nor there. The real issue is why the women are so bothered by it. And I will never forgive Lisa Rinna for turning on her friend of 20+ years all because Brandi needs to stay relevant.
Fans have had a visceral reaction to Denise leaving. The vast majority is #teamdenise and fans aren’t the only one in Denise’s corner.
Denise’s ex, Charlie Sheen, recently spoke with Page Six about his feelings on the matter. He also addressed speculation that he was the one to suggest she leave in the first place. Charlie said, “She does what she wants in these matters.” He was quick to add, “And I applaud her decision of ‘one and done.’” Not to nitpick but Denise wasn’t one and done. She spent two seasons on RHOBH. Maybe Charlie wasn’t watching the first time around.

That leaves sources to continue theorizing why Denise decided not to come back. It seems pretty obvious to me but some are saying she didn’t get the money she wanted to continue her contract. Other sources are pointing to Denise being so fed up with how she was treated this season that she didn’t even bother with negotiating.
Again, I really can’t blame Denise for whatever reason she decided to leave the show. Either way, is coming back for another season really worth being targeted the whole time? Not only was her parenting questioned, but so was her honesty and authenticity as a person.

I don’t know why the women of RHOBH are so obsessed with other cast members being “honest” when all they do is build their entire story lines around ganging up on someone else. I mean really, does anyone know what is going on in the life of Kyle Richards? Aside from a snoozer of a fashion show, did she actually contribute anything to this season? More importantly, does anyone care?
Denise or no Denise, RHOBH is going down a very slippery slope of fan frustration. How many seasons have we spent being disappointed? At this point, I think it’s time for a whole cast shake up, just like they have been slowly doing on Real Housewives of New York. After all, Bravo owes it to us viewers. Especially if they want to keep us watching.
