Denise Richards confirmed she will be leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after just two seasons. Bravo fans had a feeling her story may play out like this, so her announcement wasn’t a surprise.
Fans already watched part one of the RHOBH reunion, where Denise looked entirely uninterested in the action. She did raise a few controversial points, including agreeing with fans who think Lisa Rinna should be fired. Denise was caught liking shady tweets by fans who called for the removal of the star. Her disinterest in the drama likely stems from the terrible season she suffered. Denise has not made it easy for anyone to take her side as she continues to deny the Brandi Glanville affair. However, she has been caught telling little lies more than once, making it difficult for her fellow housewives to trust anything she says.

Today, news broke via Vanity Affair that Denise will not be returning for the next season. The actress’ exit makes perfect sense after her disastrous appearance this season that forced her to end her time on the show with absolutely no friends in the cast. The tenth season’s drama primarily focused on Denise and her illicit affair with Brandi. Nowadays, one would not think that sleeping with another woman was any news at all, but much of the drama developed from Denise’s denial of the affair and news that her husband, Aaron Phypers, wasn’t aware of her actions.
Fans noted early on that Denise seemed miserable throughout the show, and their hypothesis was proven correct during last week’s reunion when her body language screamed that she could not care less. Even though the Wild Things actress denies having a one-night stand with Brandi, the rumors have haunted her. Fans are split into Team Denise or Team Brandi, and many of the housewives, including Lisa and Dorit Kemsley, believe Brandi’s take on what happened. Denise tried her best to screw Bravo over by breaking the fourth wall and yelling “Bravo Bravo Bravo” every time she wanted to get footage cut. Luckily, the network was too smart for that and aired her secrets anyway. Even a cease and desist order failed to work for Denise.
Denise did not say much more through her representative, but fans are sure she will give a long-winded goodbye via her social media. Denise had such potential after her rookie season went swimmingly, but the second season just crashed and burned. Many felt if she was just honest from the beginning, it would not have even been a big storyline. But one thing was very evident, Denise commits to her lies, good or bad.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hill airs Wednesday at 9 pm ET on Bravo.
