Not to be outdone by 3D Realms, Nightdive Studios has been busy with several reveals lately.
The upcoming remaster of Shadow Man: Remastered received a new teaser trailer, which finally shows off the game in action (as opposed to just screenshots). We can expect the game to hit PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam and GOG next year.
Also revealed is the long-awaited remaster of Westwood’s Blade Runner game, which now has a new trailer showing off the remastered cinematics. Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam later this year.
Those who were in the midst of the Doom clones craze will remember 1996’s Strife, which had received a revamped Veteran Edition version back in 2014 for Steam. Well, Nightdive thought that what better way to experience this hidden mix of sci-fi and RPG elements in a first-person shooter than to port it to the Nintendo Switch. No word on the exact date as to when Strife: Veteran Edition will land on the Switch, but at least there’s a new trailer.
For you System Shock fans, Nightdive also dropped a new alpha gameplay video of the upcoming remake showing off a Cyberspace segment as well as “The Art of Gore” developer diary that looks at how the developer’s artists are creating the game’s dismemberment and damage effects.
Lastly, and certainly not least, Nightdive has finally revealed their remaster of SiN called SiN: Reloaded, which was teased back in March. The game is a collaboration of 3D Realms and Nightdive Studios, with developers Nightdive Studios, Slipgate Ironworks, and original developer Ritual Entertainment.
The game will hit Steam next year, and will feature SiN and the Wages of SiN expansion completely rebuilt from the ground up in the KEX engine, brand-new textures, widescreen support, restoration of previously-cut content and controller support.
