The Dune movie trailer teaser features the first footage of Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides, and confirms the full trailer releases tomorrow. Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the upcoming science fiction film adapts Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel of the same name. Although a previous film adaptation was attempted by David Lynch, it wasn’t well-received, giving Villeneuve a somewhat clean slate for his own take.
As of now, Dune is scheduled to hit theaters in December, but considering the slew of delays to 2020 movies it’s unclear if that date will stick. Of course, since Dune distributor Warner Bros. recently released Tenet in theaters, it’s likely Villeneuve’s movie remains on track for a winter release. As such, Warner Bros. is ramping up the marketing for Dune with a trailer teaser.
On Twitter, Warner Bros. released the Dune movie trailer teaser via the social media site’s official movies account, confirming the full-length promo will arrive tomorrow. In the trailer teaser, the video highlights the all-star cast Villeneuve has assembled for Dune, then includes a brief bit of footage featuring Chalamet’s protagonist, Paul Atreides. Check it out below.
