Bilal Releases New Album With Erykah Badu, Madison McFerrin, Nick Hakim, More

Bilal has released a new album that he recorded in partnership with Brooklyn-based recording studio and music channel HighBreedMusic. The album, VOYAGE-19, was written and recorded over the span of three days in August, with the musicians contributing remotely from their home studios. For the album, Bilal recruited Erykah Badu, Cory Henry, Madison McFerrin, Robert Glasper, Marcus Strickland, Nick Hakim, and dozens of other musicians. Check it out here via Bandcamp.

In May, Erykah Badu made an appearance on another HighBreedMusic release, Slingbaum’s debut album Slingbaum One. She sang on the track “Behoove,” alongside D’Angelo. Bilal’s previous studio album, In Another Life, was released in 2015.
