Perfume Genius has announced a live virtual performance from the Palace Theater in downtown Los Angeles. The concert will take place on Saturday, September 19, kicking off at 3 p.m. Eastern. The stream will be available for viewing through Sunday, September 20 at 3 a.m. Eastern. Tickets are available in advance here for $15 ($20 day of the event).
During the concert, Perfume Genius mastermind Mike Hadreas will be joined by a six-piece band as well as a string quartet. They will perform music from Perfume Genius’ latest album Set My Heart on Fire Immediately, which arrived in May. The concert will mark the first live performances of many songs from the record. According to a press release, fans who pay an additional $5 will have access to stream an acoustic solo encore by Perfume Genius the night of the concert.
Perfume Genius recently performed Set My Heart on Fire Immediately tracks “On the Floor” and “Jason” on an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon!. In June, the artist covered Mazzy Star’s classic “Fade Into You.”
