Porsha Williams Real Housewives Of Atlanta

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams got arrested at a peaceful protest again. Her late grandfather, civil rights leader Hosea Williams, would be very proud of her. She’s come a long way since the day she admitted she thought the underground railroad involved an actual train.

Now, she’s speaking up and putting in the time, hoping to make a difference and bring justice during the Black Lives Matter movement.

Wave News reported that Porsha was one of at least 64 people who got arrested in Louisville, Kentucky for participating in a peaceful protest. This is her second arrest this year, for the same thing. They are facing misdemeanor charges for disorderly conduct and obstructing a highway.

She was participating in a protest organized by a civil activist group called Until Freedom along  with others who were marching through Louisville during a “Day of Action” planned by the organization. The walked from a park, past the Lousiville Metro Police Department Training Academy, and, ultimately, police officers blocked them from moving forward.

Ultimately, they are calling for action to be taken in the Breonna Taylor case. The EMT was tragically shot and killed when officers came into her home in March 2020.

She shared, “My heart is heavy knowing that even as we fight for justice for our beloved Breonna Taylor, more Black men, one being Jacob Blake, is still being brutalized in the streets of America!”

She encouraged others to “search your soul and decide to receive it and activate the activist in you! Get busy, get active, get informed!”

Porsha continued, “Whatever your gift is, we NEED you to be a part of change, we need you to believe that love is an action word and show it!! Find a way to see yourself in the movement and get busy! We are standing at a fork in the road of life or death. Silence and complacency will lead to more death! It’s time to wake up!”

“Change is ahead of us…if we just continue to push through and keep moving forward together, we will get to where we need to be! We all play a part in this movement, no one is greater than another. Hell, is the heart any less important than your lungs? Absolutely not. You need both of them to function,” Porsha wrote.

She reminded her followers, “You are what this movement needs to function at its highest level!”
