Travis Scott has shared his new single “The Plan.” The track will be featured in Christopher Nolan’s forthcoming thriller Tenet. Listen to “The Plan” below.
Scott discussed Tenet in a recent interview with GQ’s Gerrick D. Kennedy. “I can’t even explain it,” Travis Scott said of the film. “You literally just have to watch it. It’s very fire.”
In the same article, Nolan spoke of Scott’s contribution to the soundtrack. “His voice became the final piece of a yearlong puzzle,” the director said of Scott. “His insights into the musical and narrative mechanism [composer] Ludwig Göransson and I were building were immediate, insightful, and profound.”
Tenet stars Robert Pattinson, John David Washington, Elizabeth Debicki, and others. The film is set to open in select theaters around the world on August 26; Tenet will be availably widely in the United States on September 3 (via Warner Bros. Pictures).
This year, Travis Scott has released music with Kanye West (“Wash Us in the Blood”), Rosalía (“TKN”), and Kid Cudi (“THE SCOTTS”). Travis Scott’s most recent studio album ASTROWORLD landed in 2018. Late last year, his label Cactus Jack shared the JACKBOYS compilation.
