These scenes with Gizelle Bryant and her (cheating) ex-husband/current boyfriend Jamal Bryant and their three daughters are just so uncomfortable to watch. Instead of engaging in a The Parent Trap-style fantasy about their parents getting back together, the Bryant daughters just aren’t here for the romance.
They’ve even said that they think their father is talking to them more often in order to impress their mother which is both gross and sad (if true). And then there’s the geography of it all: Gizelle lives in Potomac (obviously) and Jamal resides in Atlanta. How is this gonna work out in the long run?
Gizelle dished on her relationship with Jamal during an interview with E! News. Thankfully, she says her kids have come around on the idea of them dating again. She added, “I mean it’s a little tough in this pandemic because you can’t get up and fly wherever you want to go and meet somebody. So it’s been a little tough on us, but we’re doing great.”
When she was asked if she would marry Jamal again for a storyline next season, Gizelle said, “That is like the million dollar question. I mean, yes. I’m not opposed to it. If he asked me I would say yes, but you know the timing has gotta be right. Clearly, I’m not getting married tomorrow. We have another wedding to go to. It’s called The Dixons.” I read that as Gizelle not wanting to get engaged (and ultimately married) until Juan and Robyn Dixon’s wedding storyline plays out. We all know how calculated Gizelle can be.

She commented, “I don’t know, but you know, Robyn has a ring on it, so I’m going to be pushing for that to happen sooner rather than later.”

Ultimately, Gizelle said, “There is no rush. I’m not going anywhere. Jamal’s not going anywhere. We’re just going to enjoy our time,” which I read as “we will not get engaged unless the Real Housewives of Potomac cameras are rolling.”
