In the wake of the Blake Lives Matter movement, Vanderpump Rules axed four of its cast members in June of 2020 for racially insensitive behavior. Kristen Doute, Stassi Schroeder, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni were all given the boot.
In January of 2020, racially insensitive social media posts made by Brett and Max in the past resurfaced. The Pump Rules newbies both apologized, but it was much too little, and much too late.
In 2018, Stassi and Kristen called the police and accused former co-star Faith Stowers of drugging men and then stealing from them. It took a while, but karma finally caught up with the duo.
Stassi was quickly dropped by her public relations team and several brands. Her podcast was also removed from all platforms following her firing. Of course, Stassi in the past referred to an outfit as “Nazi Chic,” so her tone-deaf behavior isn’t surprising. But it is still disgusting.

Kristen and Stassi even hired the same crisis management team to help them salvage their careers moving forward.
Right now, Stassi is passing the time by sharing details of her pregnancy. Stassi and her fiancé, Beau Clark, are expecting a baby girl. And Kristen is trying to repair her image by donating a portion of the proceeds from her Cameos to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU.)

What is fascinating about this fiasco is that so many of the Vanderpump Rules cast have stayed silent about the firings. And these people are never silent, and always thirsty for attention. Pump Rules star Lala Kent likened Kristen and Stassi being fired to the shock of someone’s death. Wow. Really, Lala? I don’t think that is comparable.
So, what about the two Toms- Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval? Sandoval finally commented, “It definitely changes things and honestly, we’re just going to have to wait and see what happens.”

According to Us Weekly, Schwartz shared his thoughts about the firings on the August 5 episode of the Give Them Lala … With Randall podcast. Schwartz explained, “I don’t think I’ve processed it. It doesn’t feel real. I hope it doesn’t seem like a cop-out, but I just honestly haven’t processed it,” he said. “Maybe I’m running from it a little bit or I’m in denial that it ever happened.”
The future of the show is a mystery. But Schwartz, who is married to co-star Katie Maloney, thinks that the show should go on. “I’m optimistic about the future of Vanderpump Rules. I feel like the show still has legs, it still has so much life to give,” Schwartz shared.

“But it’s never going to be the same, that’s for sure. … I love my friends and I support them,” Schwartz added. “It’s been rough but we’ll be OK, we’ll get through it.”
Now the question is, will Vanderpump Rules survive?
