Nothing can truly “cancel” Halloween, but we can be pretty certain that this year’s Halloween season will be a bit different. Halloween Horror Nights, for starters, has been cancelled this year, and we can only assume trick-or-treating on the big day won’t be as popular as it usually is. As for haunted attractions, well, they may not be operating at all this coming October.
Thankfully, however, some haunters are getting creative and finding new ways to innovate during the pandemic. And over in Orlando, a drive-thru attraction is being planned.
“The Haunted Road” promises a “new, completely contactless Halloween experience,” filled with “twisted creatures, immersive theatrical storytelling and bloodcurdling encounters.”
“As guests drive through each nightmarish scene, they’ll be immersed into a ghastly rendition of an untold story of Rapunzel as she journeys into a world of disarray, faces bloodcurdling creatures – and hundreds of shocking scares.”
Virtual auditions will be taking place in August, with more details being announced soon. Head over to TheHauntedRoad.com to learn more and sign up for the newsletter.
