RHOBH: Is Sutton Really A Georgia Peach or Just Cagey

Movies

On this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, southern lady Sutton Stracke joined the cast as a friend of the housewives. Sutton insists she’s a Georgia Peach, but is she really just cagey? She hasn’t been the most forthcoming about her life, but she often plays it off as southern hospitality.

Fans were supposed to meet Sutton as a full-time housewife, but she was demoted at the last minute because her ex-husband did not want their children filmed. Still, she appeared on the season as a friend of Lisa Rinna’s, though she didn’t make a great first impression. During a dinner party at Kyle Richards’ house, Sutton openly picked on Teddi Mellencamp for being boring. Stracke tried to play off her rudeness as honesty, but fans picked up on what she was laying down. While the new housewife does add something to the show, many feel she is coming across as mean and pretentious, which is hard to relate to for most.

Sutton met up with Garcelle Beauvais on the July 22 episode of RHOBH for a quick dinner in matching red ensembles. The two women small-talked through appetizers but hit a bit of a faux pax as the entrées came out. Garcelle was very interested in how Sutton had formed her wealth, but a southern lady does not divulge that type of information, according to Sutton.

Obviously, most fans are familiar with the rule to avoid talking politics or money at the dinner table, but the Coming to America actress wanted to get down to the nitty-gritty of her friendship with Sutton. The candid question seemed to set Sutton back for a minute, but she finally answered by saying, “I got married and my ex-husband, he did well.” The mother of three told her new friend that she knew her ex, Christian Stracke, since she was 13 years old and was married to him for 17 years. While Sutton did answer the money question, she declined to tell Garcelle who she lost her virginity to – that was a step too far. Many fans noticed Sutton’s southern charm act and wondered how much of it was a performance for the show. Some viewers even pointed out that Erika Jayne is also from Georgia, but does not act the same way.

Even if Sutton acts a bit holier-than-thou, fans are still very much interested in her storyline. She has added some much-needed drama to the season and knows how to have a good time. Fans will have to tune in to future episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to see if she can survive the girls’ trip to Rome.
