90 Day Fiance Star Erika Owens In New Relationship After Split From Stephanie Matto

Erika Owens and Stephanie Matto‘s relationship seemed so promising in the beginning. As the first same-sex couple on 90 Day Fiance Before the 90 Days they seemed genuinely infatuated with each other and looked so cute together to boot. Unfortunately, when Steph traveled to Australia to meet Erika in person, things quickly unraveled. Steph was extremely jealous but did not give Erika any affection at the same time. They quickly broke up, with Erika getting the better edit and Steph appearing to be uptight and controlling.

Erika has come off as authentic and comfortable with herself all along. In spite of her beer-bonging, friend-shagging ways, she is proud of being a free spirit and seems very upfront about who she is. Erika definitely stands out with her bright, colorful appearance, but also conveys a sense of calm maturity that contrasts with Steph‘s frenzied insecurity. It is not surprising to see that Erika has found a new partner, although her new love may surprise fans.

According to a post on Instagram, Erika has a new “human” in her life. She posted two pics with her new boyfriend, looking happy and laughing. The first pic shows Erika’s new man picking her up and holding her bride-over-the-threshold style in front of the gorgeous Australian coastline. Erika looks outrageous as always in a rainbow puffy coat. The next pic shows a close up of their intertwined hands wearing rainbow bracelets.

“You make me feel very color of the rainbow!” Erika gushed in the caption. ” I can’t wait to see the world together and make

every minute a grand adventure. So thankful and so so happy.”

But before anyone starts questioning her sexuality, Erika was quick to remind people that she is bi-sexual, not gay. There is a difference, people.

“P.S. Leave any bi-phobic comments at the door.” Erika continued. “I’m still here, still queer and being with this amazing human now doesn’t mean I’m not bisexual and it does NOT invalidate my sexuality.”

Interestingly enough, Steph has also been accused of “faking” her bisexuality for TV, and Erika has come to her defense. It does not seem like Erika has nearly as many haters as Steph. The comments on the post seem to be overwhelmingly positive, with most everyone congratulating her and expressing their happiness.

Erika seems to be her authentic self and she knows who she is. If she has found someone to make her happy, it doesn’t matter what sex, race, or religion they are. I hope she has found the person she has been looking for. It will be interesting to see if Steph is supportive of Erika’s new relationship, or if she continues to be bitter about the break-up.

Since they both still appear to be active with TLC, there’s a good chance we will get more info about their new relationships on a future 90 Day Fiance spinoff. With all the 90 Day franchises constantly emerging, I am sure 90 Day Fiance: Exes Update will be premiering any day now. And as always, I will be watching.
