Horror

Universal currently has a handful of Universal Monsters movies in the works, including a new take on Wolfman being directed by Leigh Whannell, and THR breaks the news on another one of those upcoming projects tonight. Josh Cooley (Toy Story 4) will direct Little Monsters, described by the site as “an all-ages approach to the studio’s classic monster characters.”

Cooley will also write the “live-action hybrid” monster movie.

THR adds, “Sources have described it as a love letter to classic Hollywood and the history of filmmaking with a story that takes a multigenerational approach to the monsters.”

Concept artist Crash McCreery is designing the monsters for the film.
