What to know about Clare Crawley’s rumored ‘Bachelorette’ resort

Reality TV

Expect Clare Crawley to hand out the roses in a luxurious bubble when production resumes on “The Bachelorette” later this month.

The La Quinta Resort & Club — not to be confused with the chain of inns around the US — has been tapped as the “Bachelorette” hub for Season 16, according to “Bachelor” sleuth “Reality Steve” Carbone. He also reported Wednesday that Crawley’s suitors were expected to arrive in La Quinta, California, that day.

ABC’s Palm Springs affiliate, KESQ, also posted photos Wednesday of the resort being blocked with barriers.

Reps for ABC and Warner Bros. did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

According to the website, the Waldorf Astoria Resort features 41 pools, 21 tennis courts, and eight pickleball courts. There are 22 types of rooms available, including the grand El Presidente Suite, which is described as the largest suite at 2,000 square-feet and features a hot tub and private pool.

La Quinta is also home to five golf courses and multiple restaurants, in addition to a salon and spa.

Crawley, the oldest lead in franchise history at the age of 39, was named the “Bachelorette” in March. Later that month, production was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In June, ABC exec Rob Mills detailed plans for Crawley’s season amid the global health crisis, noting filming would take place at one location.

“We’re going to be at one location, and everyone will be tested a week before, everyone comes back negative, we shoot and they’re inside that bubble, basically,” Mills said during an “On-Air with Ryan Seacrest” interview.

Visitors will be barred from “The Bachelorette” bubble and the media will not be invited to the set, Variety previously reported. The La Quinta resort is also taking reservations beyond Sept. 3.

Crawley first appeared on “The Bachelor” in 2014, when she was the runner-up on Juan Pablo Galavis’ season. She also starred in the first season of “Bachelor in Paradise” that same year. In 2015, she joined Season 2 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” later appearing in “The Bachelor Winter Games” in 2018.
