“Marianne” Creator Directing ‘Cobweb’ for Lionsgate!

One of the best things in horror over the past year is the French “Marianne,” a series Meagan Navarro called “Netflix’s most terrifying original yet.”

Created and directed by Samuel Bodin, the filmmaker has been attached to helm the horror-thriller Cobweb for Lionsgate, Bloody Disgusting just learned.

Cobweb tells the story of a boy whose parents have always told him the voices he hears in the walls of his house are just his imagination.

But when he discovers they might be real, he goes on an unnerving quest to discover what’s real and what’s not.”

The project, which was #1 on the Bloodlist and highly ranked on The Blacklist, was written by Chris Thomas Devlin and has some high profile names attached to produce, including Vertigo Entertainment’s Roy Lee (The Ring, It) and Jon Berg (Wonder Woman) and Point Grey’s Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg (This is the End, “Preacher”, “The Boys”), with James Weaver.

Vertigo’s Andrew Childs is serving as executive producer. Josh Fagen is executive producing and overseeing the project for Point Grey. Jim Miller and Meredith Wieck are overseeing the project for Lionsgate.
