Horror

It’s a sales figures type of day, as Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have announced that Nioh 2 has surpassed one million units sold since its release on March 12. On top of that, it was reported that the game’s first DLC entry, The Tengu’s Disciple, now has a release date.

In celebration of the game reaching the milestone, Team Ninja are celebrating by distributing the new “Million Demon Armor” to players. Players can receive the “Million Demon Armor” after updating to Ver. 1.09 by accessing the “Boons” section of the shrine. Speaking of version 1.09, the update (which is available now) adds new missions, a Photo Mode, a new Guardian Spirit, and more.

As for The Tengu’s Disciple, PlayStation Blog reports that the add-on will release on July 30, and involves the player travelling to Yashima, where you find a shrine possessing a mysterious whistle called the Sohayamaru. It is revealed that whenever wars take place, heroes wielding the Sohayamaru will head into battle in order to restore peace back into this land.

Nioh 2 is available now on PlayStation 4.
