Jules Wainstein Restraining Order Dropped; Can See Kids Again, Still Faces Assault Charges

Reality TV

Bravo alumn Jules Wainstein did a great job staying in the press after her one-off season on the Real Housewives of New York City. Shortly after her season wrapped, she filed for divorce from her allegedly cheating husband. Restraining orders, police intervention, and child support drama all made their way into the mix too.

Things calmed down for a while until earlier this year. Many will remember Jules making headlines this past February for her arrest. She had allegedly attacked her estranged husband Michael Wainstein. Now, some good news (relatively speaking) emerges for Jules. She is allowed to see her kids again.

A Florida judge dismissed Michael’s request for a temporary restraining order, The Sun reports. The court papers indicate there was a no-contact order. This protected him, their son, Jagger, and their daughter, Rio, from Jules.

The day of the incident Jules was seen leaving her car “carrying a large baseball bat.” Apparently, “she kissed and licked the driver’s side window while she was beating the car with the baseball bat.” The court papers alleged, “[Jules] eventually put-down the baseball bat by attempting to hide it under the rear tire of [his] vehicle.” She then allegedly opened up the back door of the car to let out her children.

Upon realizing she was being recorded by Michael, Jules “screamed obscenities aloud at the Petitioner in front of the children.” She also “beat his face with her fists and attempted to smash his cellphone” the court papers alleged.

Michael was given custody of their two kids following her arrest. He alleged that her behavior was fueled by drug use. As reported by The Sun, Michael claimed that Jules had an “extensive habit of abusing cocaine and off-label prescription medication in connection with her admitted eating disorder.” Yikes.

According to the court papers, Jules underwent testing that came out negative. It’s nice that she can see her kids again, but it makes sense why the assault charges would still stand…

If there were ever a time Bravo wanted to hand Jules an apple again (or, a friend-of contract) it’s now. Her headshot wouldn’t be breaking news, as she would be the fifth housewife to have a mugshot. But it would be great to see Jules make her comeback from this. Maybe Sonja Morgan has room in her apartment that Jules and her kids could stay at while she finds her and her kids a place in New York?
