Watch Dave Grohl Play Foo Fighters’ “Everlong” on Kimmel

Music, News

Dave Grohl was a guest on the latest remote episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!. He appeared during an interview with TJ Riley, a New York emergency trauma nurse from Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, who just so happens to a big Foo Fighters fan. Grohl sang the band’s 1997 hit “Everlong” and accompanied himself on acoustic guitar. Watch it happen below.

The performance was a gesture to thank Riley for his work during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Life Is Good organization also provided every nurse in Riley’s department with a $10,000 and gift package. The segment was part of Kimmel’s #HealthCareHero series.

Grohl’s appearances on Kimmel have a tendency to be memorable. One time, in 2017, he donned a wig, fake beard, and false gap in his teeth to host the show in character as David Letterman.

Recently, an all-star cover of Foo Fighters’ “Times Like These”—featuring Dua Lipa and Coldplay’s Chris Martin—was released for charity.
