Lisa Rinna Shades Lisa Vandermpump On Instagram

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is back! Own it, baby! What did you guys think of the first episode? I didn’t have high hopes but I thought it delivered a strong introduction to the new season. I could have done without Kyle Richards pretending she’s a fashion designer, but you win some, you lose some. The new housewives made up for my lack of interest in whatever Kyle is doing. Garcelle Beauvais already seems like she’s going to hold her own. And Sutton Stracke brought the true rich lady shade, calling Teddi Mellencamp’s romper outfit “cute”. That was probably her tamest shading too.

There is one big elephant in the room though and her name is Lisa Vanderpump. We watched so many seasons of these ladies do whatever they could to get her off the show. Was anyone actually surprised when it happened? But LVP is gone but clearly not forgotten. In a scene filmed with Sutton, Lisa Rinna affixes a golden crown atop her head and stares in the mirror. In the background, we hear LVP’s famous tagline, “The crown is heavy, darlings. So just leave it where it belongs.” Rinna smirks as she watches herself and likely contemplates who she is going to claim manipulates her this season. Like every season.

Rinna didn’t stop there though. She took to Instagram to make an obvious plug for the episode and throw some shade while she’s at it. The picture features Rinna sitting on a throne, wearing the same crown and the same smirk on her face. She captions it, “Tomorrow Night! The Premiere of #RHOBH Season 10 Episode 1. 9 pm @bravotv “The Crown Isn’t So Heavy”. The other ladies quickly joined in with their shade.

Erika Jayne commented, “Is it heavy?? Asking for a friend.” For her part, Teddi adds, “How many lbs?” It doesn’t look like any other fellow cast mates commented but the implication is there. These ladies think they knocked the crown off LVP’s head and don’t think it was very hard being LVP to begin with. As messy as she was, I did like LVP on the show. But the ladies aren’t totally wrong that LVP could be a tad dramatic about her place in the world of RHOBH. Then again, her cast mates made it hard for LVP to not feel like her “crown” was heavy. Just look at how many seasons they spent taking shots at her.

I for one would like everyone to move on. LVP is gone and now that she isn’t their target, I’d like to see if these women can bring anything else to the table. After all, that’s why we watch.

TELL US – DO YOU THINK RINNA WAS SHADING LVP? WHO DO YOU THINK DESERVES THE CROWN NOW?
