100 gecs Hosting Square Garden Music Festival in Minecraft

Music, News

100 gecs have announced a virtual music festival called Square Garden, which they’ll headline with Charli XCX on Friday, April 24. Cashmere Cat, benny blanco, Kero Kero Bonito, and A. G. Cook are also set to appear. Though festival will be built in a Minecraft world, it will also be streamed on 100 gecs’ YouTube channel and their website. Proceeds will benefit the hunger-relief nonprofit Feeding America.

According to a statement from the gecs, they chose Minecraft as the site for Square Garden because it was where the duo performed their first-ever show last year. 100 gecs, Charli, and Kero Kero Bonito previously teamed up on a remix of 1000 gecs’ “ringtone.” In addition, A .G. Cook remixed 100 gecs’ “money machine.”
