Fan Recreates ‘P.T.’ Using Old-School HyperCard Software

Horror

With the rumoured Silent Hills resurrection still kicking around, how about another fanmade remake of the P.T. demo? This one comes courtesy of Ryan Trawick over at itch.io, who has recreated the P.T. demo using the HyperCard software.

If you’re not familiar with Hypercard, it was a development tool for the Macintosh that allowed creators to use hyperlinks to make databases and multimedia presentations. Of course, some folks ended up using the tech to create games, most notably the classic adventure game Myst.

As for this recreation of P.T., it’s quite accurate, but also feels like Mindscape’s classic point-and-click adventure game, Uninvited (which subsequently received an NES port). Still, until Konami (or Sony) finally gives fans a definitive answer regarding Silent Hills, we’ve at least got the fanbase to rely on for cool stuff like this. Plus, it’s free to check out. So, why not?
