Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley and her husband, PK Kemsley, were responsible for all the drama last season. They adopted an adorable puppy from Vanderpump Dogs, and then Dorit rehomed the pup instead of returning Lucy to the organization. Lucy ended up in a shelter.
Lisa Vanderpump quit RHOBH after “puppy gate.” And somehow, all of the financial and legal issues engulfing the cast stayed off the show, and off viewer’s radars. Finally, Camille Grammer told the Beverly Hills Housewives that PK owed millions of dollars to Camille’s friend. Boom! Mic drop.
Dorit repeatedly denied that she and her husband were having financial issues. In reality, they were sporting his and hers lawsuits. Dorit was sued by Ryan Horne, who was a former “partner” in her Beverly Beach swimwear line. Horne alleged that he made a deal with them to produce the swimsuits in exchangee for one third of the business. In October of 2019, the case was finally settled.
In 2011, Nicos Kirzis loaned PK a whopping $1.2 million, and sued when PK neglected to repay the debt. PK attempted to wiggle out of paying by declaring bankruptcy in the U.K. Then, Kirzis seized one bank account that the couple shared. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, this lawsuit was also settled in October of 2019.

In an interview with US Weekly, Dorit said that she is glad that all the legal woes are behind her. “I had maintained from the beginning that it was in the right hands and I couldn’t really talk about it, although everybody wanted to,” Dorit said. “There were a lot of things that came out in the press that weren’t true.” Is Dorit referring to the many times that she insisted that her finances with PK were fine? Just wondering.
Dorit continued, “It’s very difficult when you’re fighting something with your hands tied behind your back. So for us, we always knew that it was going to be resolved and get resolved and it was a matter of time and justice and so for us it was very freeing,” the RHOBH star explained. She added, “Of course, very happy that it’s behind us and not in front of us and we’re able to just be done with it.”

She also talked about how the lawsuits affected her family. “You just have to try for it not to affect you and your family really, because it does, and you kind of live in this world where you know that’s going to happen inevitably and when it hits home like that it’s difficult to have that hard outer shell, but you learn, you learn to and we stay strong as a family and I’m grateful for that,” Dorit shared.
I wonder how much viewers will see of Dorit’s legal woes during the upcoming season? It would be refreshing to have the RHOBH cast own up to some of their money troubles.

Then, in February, PK and Dorit were hit with divorce rumors. Dorit told US Weekly that the state of her marriage was strong. “Because my husband and I had the type of relationship where we really support one another.” The reality star added, “We’re very much in our love bubble. We’ve been together almost 10 years.”
You can witness Dorit and PK in their ‘love bubble” when Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns on April 15.
