Launching last September, Microsoft has announced that it’s making the PC version of Gears 5 available for free until April 12. Much like how Steam offers free weekends for games, according to DSOGaming, this allows you to play both the game’s single-player campaign and its multiplayer mode.
This comes on the heels of the announcement that the turn-based strategy spin-off in Gears Tactics has gone gold for PC. In addition to the finalization of Gears Tactics‘ release on PC, developers The Coalition also announced that work is continuing on the Xbox version of the game, which is currently for release later this year.
Gears Tactics will arrive on PCs on April 28.
