Kristin Cavallari Confirms She’ll Appear The Hills: New Beginnings Season 2

The Hills will soon be alive with the sound of none other than Kristin Cavallari!

On Friday (March 6), the Very Cavallari star revealed in a new interview that she’ll be returning to Los Angeles to pop up on the upcoming second season of The Hills: New Beginnings.

“Yeah, I’m going to make an appearance on The Hills,” the pot-stirring reality star told Entertainment Tonight at the launch party for her Uncommon James SS20 line in West Hollywood. “I don’t know what I can and can’t say. Clearly I just say always too much, but people expect that from me.”

As longtime fans of the pioneering reality series know, Kristin got her start in front of MTV’s cameras as a high school junior, when she was pitted against Lauren Conrad on the first two seasons of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. Several years later, she replaced her one-time nemesis as the central cast member and narrator on the last season-and-a-half of Laguna‘s L.A.-based spinoff, The Hills.

And while Kristin was originally reticent to sign on for the first season of the Hills reboot alongside original cast members Heidi Montag, Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port and (her eventual replacement) Mischa Barton, it sounds like she’s changed her tune now that the series survived its (admittedly rather dull) first season. “I’m excited! I’m actually very excited,” she said. “I think it’s going to be fun to go back and see the old gang and, yeah, I’m looking forward to it.”

Kristin‘s return to The Hills will hardly be the first time she’s reunited with her old co-stars, however. During the current, third season of her eponymous E! reality series, Audrina and Heidi took a girls trip out to Nashville to visit their old pal. They reminisced about the heyday of their mid-2000s reality fame and, of course, gossip about Lauren.

When pressed, the Uncommon James CEO remained mum on details regarding the new season, saying, “They just started filming. I don’t know when I will start filming or what’s happening yet, but I will be.”

Kristin also shared that she hopes the reboot will steer away from the famously semi-scripted nature of the original series.

“I don’t know what to expect. It’s a whole new production team, so hopefully it’s not as manufactured, but we will see,” Kristin said. “I’m happy to be part of an iconic show — Laguna Beach and The Hills. I mean, it’s cool and I think it’s awesome that people are still so invested in that here we are 10 years later.”
