Jay Cutler cheating rumors led to demise of Kristin Cavallari friendship

Kristin Cavallari has dealt with reality TV breakups in the past, but it seems none hit harder than the demise of her friendship with Kelly Henderson.

Addressing the fallout Thursday on her E! series, “Very Cavallari,” the mother of three, 33, revealed she and Henderson had not spoken in months as a result of rumors surrounding an alleged affair involving Cavallari’s husband, former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler, 36.

“When season two was airing, there was a lot of talk on social media about Jay and Kelly having an affair,” Cavallari said during the premiere, according to People. “Not for one second have I ever thought that it was true. It wasn’t the actual accusations of them having an affair that made me upset, it was how Kelly went about it.”

Henderson, a celebrity stylist and glam specialist, is said to have discussed Cutler on social media. Cavallari also claimed she tried to address the situation with Henderson to no avail.

“I kept trying to reach out to her and talk to her about it and tell her how I was feeling, and instead of her just owning her side of it and being like, ‘I’m sorry. Oh my god, that was never my intention,’ or whatever, she kept giving me pushback and would get really defensive,” Cavallari alleged, noting Henderson “just stopped responding.”

Cavallari also confided in friends Justin Anderson and Stephanie “Biegs” Biegel about Henderson, revealing her former friend got “really defensive” in response to an email.

“I was like, ‘Here’s how your actions have affected me.’ And she wrote me back and she was really defensive,” Cavallari explained.

“The point is I feel very used,” she continued.

Cavallari recently told Page Six that discussing Henderson was a “challenging” topic to tackle.

“It was actually challenging for me at first to talk about the Kelly stuff,” Cavallari said. “I started filming Season 3 and I didn’t talk about it because I was trying to navigate through the situation myself and I was hesitant to put it out there until I could really wrap my head around it and know what was going on.”

While Henderson has not deleted a photo of herself with Cutler and Cavallari from March 2019, she did share a pointed message Thursday with her Instagram followers.

“Take a deep breath and remember who the f–k you are,” the post read, with Henderson captioning the note, “And don’t waste time on the bulls–t.”

Cavallari married Cutler in 2013. They have three kids: sons Camden, 7, and Jaxon, 5, and daughter Saylor, 4. Cutler has been considered the breakout star of “Very Cavallari” since its debut in 2018.
