Recently it was reported that The Witcher was 3rd behind its sister show from Netflix Stranger Things, and Disney Plus’ Star Wars: The Mandalorian in terms of in-demand streaming, but the adaptation starring Henry Cavill is no longer in 3rd place.
Business Insider has reported that per data from Parrot Analytics, The Witcher has now officially passed Star Wars: The Mandalorian to become the “top show in the world for the week of December 22 to December 28.”
It wasn’t only the top show for the week, it was also the top show in the US with almost 127 million demand expressions compared to the Mandalorian topping out at 115 million demand expressions for the week.
The popularity of the show has even increased the gameplay of Witcher 3 that’s taking place on the video game platform Steam.
