MCU’s Master Plan For Next Avengers-Level Team-Up Is ‘Well Under Way,’ Kevin Feige Says

Movies

For many Marvel fans, Avengers: Endgame felt like a once-in-a-lifetime event. Heck, what the studio pulled off across a decade and 23 movies into a culminating conclusion does too. It’s a cinematic accomplishment, no wonder the movie became the highest-grossing movie in all of history. As Marvel Studios starts to transition into Phase Four in summer 2020, Kevin Feige is teasing that another Endgame-level film will come again. In his words:

Whoa! Kevin Feige already has another ‘master plan’ that will begin to take shape in 2020 with the release of Black Widow and Eternals! While he’s obviously not going to spill what he’s building toward to spoil the fun, Phase Four and Five will once again lead to another event film that the Infinity Saga did with the Infinity Saga.

Kevin Feige talked about this to Omelete at Brazil Comic Con last weekend, while he was there to show the crowd exclusive first footage of Eternals. At the Sao Paulo panel, he said the new team-up film based on Jack Kirby’s comic book series is “going to change the MCU.” Feige describes the movie as totally new, different, and spans 7000 years of human history. It’s “slightly ambitious,” he joked. Feige continued with this:

Sounds like at some point the Eternals and the Avengers will meet and perhaps team up? This is really exciting! Per Kevin Feige’s words at Brazil Comic Con, he also confirmed the Deviants will show up in the movie, but in a way that fans have never seen them before, along with the Celestials showing their full power and many time periods and areas being a part of the 2020 release.

Before Eternals hits the big screen, Black Widow will kick things off – finally giving fans a standalone film for Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff after the events of Civil War. The movie also starring David Harbour, Rachel Weisz, and Florence Pugh, will apparently shed light on the past in the MCU, along with setting up the upcoming future of the universe.
