Sonja Morgan is always the life of the party. The Real Housewives of New York star makes sure fun follows wherever she goes. Sometimes a little too much fun. Last season, Sonja had a scary fall from a chair on the cast Miami trip while drinking. Fortunately, she was alright. Last month, she was reportedly booted from a Philadelphia gay bar for bad behavior. You know the behavior must be terrible if an iconic Housewife is booted from a gay bar!
One area of Sonja’s life that hasn’t always been a carefree party is her New York City townhouse. It was apparent from past seasons that the place had seen better days. Dated decor, plumbing issues, water damage and more have bedeviled our Sonja for years. Not to mention the bathroom sink that came off the wall during one of her amorous adventures! Oh–and the brown ice that was dispensed from her refrigerator–another townhouse highlight. Now, Sonja has decided to sell her beloved Morgan Gardens.
The Blast reports that Sonja has listed her cherished home for $10,750,000. Yes, you heard that right–eight figures! However, this is New York City we are talking about, so the price probably isn’t unreasonable.
According to the real estate listing, Casa Morgan is a “Fully serviced Townhouse just 3 blocks to Central Park! Unlike other townhouses, this may be delivered turnkey with Service staff in place, and is available furnished or unfurnished.” I choose unfurnished–God only knows what wild Sonja has done on the furniture.

Let’s hope Ramona Singer doesn’t hear about the “service staff in place”–she will have them at her apartment hanging up her clothes and lining up the shoes in her closet!
The townhouse is further described as an “Updated c. 1899 residence [that] offers 4000 +- of usable space on 5 floors with 5 large bedrooms, 5 1/2 baths, immense open kitchen and formal dining room, guest quarters and home office, private elevator, full cellar, plus meticulous landscaped courtyard with koi pond and spacious upper outdoor veranda, like living in Italy!”

Truth be told, Sonja’s house is a potentially fabulous place. There was no description of the updates made per the listing, but if someone had a few million–or more–to put into it, the house could be incredible.
The lucky buyer won’t have to engage in the pedestrian duties of staffing their new abode. The townhouse description goes on to state, “Full service options include: Butler, Chef, Driver, Gardener, Housekeepers (2), Masseuse, Personal Trainer (Yoga & Pilates), Turn-Down Service and night Valet if desired, and parking garage at an additional fee.”

I am still stuck on no parking for almost $11 million smackers, but New York is not your typical city. And I need more of a description on the turndown service–will it be performed by Lady Sonja Morgan herself? You just know she has the costume for it!
Sonja’s townhouse is also being offered with a rent to purchase option, has no board restrictions, and is described as an optimal investment property. Surely someone would love this home.

Newly engaged former Morgan Hostel resident Tinsley Mortimer and fiance Scott Kluth could pick up the townhouse as their New York residence. And finally get Tinsley out of that hotel. Or Sonja’s sometime houseguest Luann de Lesseps and her boyfriend Rich Super could purchase the place as their love nest. We all know Luann loves to play the real estate game!
Viewers watched Sonja put her townhouse up for rent a few seasons ago and it was bittersweet to see her making the difficult decision to move on. Sonja had been renting her place for $32,000 a month after moving to a more manageable apartment.

According to The Blast, the townhouse was originally purchased for $9.1 million in 1998. Sonja was able to keep the home after filing for bankruptcy in 2010, but has tried to sell it several times since then. The home has previously been listed for $8.25 million in 2013 and $7.2 million in 2015.
I sincerely hope that Sonja is able to sell her townhouse this time. The place has to be incredibly expensive to maintain and probably contains a lot of melancholy memories for her. Selling would be a fresh start for Sonja–something I think she deserves.
