First James Bond Footage For No Time To Die Shows Off The Villain

Movies

James Bond fans have bene chomping at the bit for new footage from Cary Fukunaga’s upcoming 007 thriller No Time to Die. We figured that a new trailer would be coming soon enough, probably attached to the two Sony movies reaching theaters in the next few weeks: Jumanji: The Next Level or Little Women. Well, now we know that the full trailer is dropping Wednesday, and in anticipation, we get a :15 tease. Check it out.

Granted, we’re going to get a lot more later this week. But there’s still enough for us to dissect in the very quick images shown, so let’s see what we can see.

There are a lot of new characters being added to the James Bond mythology in No Time to Die, and I think we get our first look at Lashana Lynch’s Nomi as she poses from behind the wheel of a sports car in the following shot:

The other shots in the trailer mostly catch us up with familiar faces form the Bond series. We know that Daniel Craig is back for his fifth turn as 007, the secret agent with a License of Kill. We see him in London, and we see him participating in a motorcycle chase that has him making an incredible leap.

In the process of the trailer’s tease, we also do manage to see that James Bond’s signature Aston Martin is going to be receiving a few major upgrades, particularly in the weapons department.

But there are still several mysteries that can be answered in the full trailer for No Time to Die, which arrives on Wednesday. For instance, there are some key figures from the cast that we didn’t get to see in this new footage, including the return of Christoph Waltz as Ernst Stavro Blofeld. I think that’s Ana de Armas firing off the weapon, and that means we didn’t see Lea Seydoux or Naomie Harris playing Moneypenny once again. And we didn’t see Jeffrey Wright’s take on classic Bond ally, Felix Leiter.

But I’m willing to bet all of the money that this shot, which closes the trailer, is Rami Malek’s mysterious villain.

Let’s make a deal. Meet us back here on Wednesday, and we’ll have the full trailer for James Bond’s next adventure, No Time to Die. Until then, drop your best guesses as to what we’re watching in the comments section below. The movie opens in theaters on April 8, 2020.
