Infinity War Deleted Scene Reunites Hulk and Black Widow

Movies

A new deleted scene from Avengers: Infinity War finds Hulk and Black Widow reuniting. Bruce Banner and Hulk had some problems during the course of the movie. The Infinity Saga was recently released and is proving to be difficult for Marvel Cinematic Universe fans to track down. It is available from third-party sellers for an astronomical amount, so hopefully Marvel Studios will either make more, or at the very least, release a version that is not limited edition so that all fans can check out the deleted scenes from the MCU.

The new deleted scene from Infinity War does not have any sound, but one can see that Hulk was originally going to be in the movie. During the Wakanda battle we can see Hulk in the Hulkbuster suit and some shots of him outside of it. When he’s outside of it, we see Mark Ruffalo in his motion capture suit approaching Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow. The scene is obviously unfinished, but it’s interesting to see what could have been and what exactly was shot while making the movie.

Hulk and Bruce Banner later go on to an agreement in Avengers: Endgame. We see the emergence of Smart Hulk, which is based off of the comic version of Professor Hulk. While a lot of MCU fans were happy to see this iteration of the character on the big screen, others were not. As for people who were not, original Hulk star Lou Ferrigno has declared his disappointment in the portrayal more than once now. The actor can’t seem to get into Mark Ruffalo’s take on the character, whether it’s Smart Hulk or regular Hulk.

As for Natasha Romanoff, she made the ultimate sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame. However, it wasn’t always supposed to be that way. Originally, screenwriters Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus intended to have Hawkeye make the sacrifice on Vormir for the Soul Stone. In the end, it worked out better to have Natasha make the sacrifice to fully complete her story arc in a satisfying way. She will be returning for the Black Widow standalone movie, which hits theaters next year and takes place before the events of Infinity War.

The Infinity Saga is currently out and for sale, though it is very hard to find. The limited edition version of the MCU collection is going for a lot more than it originally sold for in stores from third-party sellers. While fans are excited to have physical editions of the movies, it also contains exclusive bonus and deleted scenes from eleven years-worth of storytelling. The Black Widow and Hulk reunion is only one of the many that is featured in the limited edition set. Hopefully Marvel Studios will release it all as a non-limited edition in the near future.
