Horror

Jeffrey Dean Morgan (“The Walking Dead”) will continue hanging around in the horror genre with Screen Gems’ upcoming Shrine, an adaptation of the same-titled novel penned by James Herbert, and we’ve learned via Deadline tonight that Jordana Brewster (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, “Lethal Weapon”) has joined the cast as well.

Evan Spiliotopoulos is on board to adapt the novel and direct the film.

Shrine focuses on a disgraced journalist who discovers a series of seemingly divine miracles in a small New England town and uses them to resurrect his career, but the ‘miracles’ may have a much darker source.”

Ghost House’s Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert will produce.
