UPDATE: A rep for Stacey Dash tells E! News in a statement that she and “her husband had a marital dispute” and while “no charges were pressed by her husband […] Deputies arrested Ms. Dash peacefully, as a formality.”
According to the statement, her husband appeared in court today, September 30th, on her behalf and Ms. Dash was released from the Land O’ Lakes detention facility. No further legal action is pending. The marital dispute, while personal and unfortunate, has since been blown out of proportion. An earlier report on TMZ.com said her manager told TMZ that she was attacked by her husband—both the sources’ relationship to Ms. Dash and the events of the evening were misrepresented. Ms. Dash is a domestic abuse survivor from a previous relationship and has championed for other abuse victims to speak up. The untruthfulness being reported saddens Ms. Dash and her family.”
No further comments will be made from the Clueless actress’ reps and they ask to respect her family’s privacy.

In March 2018, the actress made headlines when she announced she was “withdrawing my candidacy for California’s 44th Congressional District.”
“I started this run with the intention to address the pressing issues in the district where I live. I hoped, and remain hopeful, that I can assist people living here on the national level. My goal was, and remains, to improve the lives of people who have been forgotten for decades by the Democratic Party,” she said in a statement issued at the time. “At this point, I believe that the overall bitterness surrounding our political process, participating in the rigors of campaigning, and holding elected office would be detrimental to the health and wellbeing of my family. I would never want to betray the personal and spiritual principles I believe in most: that my God and my family come first.”
She reportedly wed Jeffrey Marty a week later.
