‘Bachelor in Paradise’ finale 2019: Who is the new bachelor?

Reality TV

Pilot Pete is flying into bachelorhood.

That’s right, Bachelor Nation: Peter Weber, from Hannah Brown’s season of “The Bachelorette,” is the new Bachelor on ABC’s hit reality dating show.

Weber’s appointment was announced live during the Tuesday night’s finale of “Bachelor in Paradise.” His season will air starting January 6, 2020.

“It’s still hitting me right now and I feel so grateful right now to have this opportunity,” Weber told host Chris Harrison. Weber said his parents are his inspiration for going on the show — he wants to find a love just as powerful as theirs.

Weber said he’s also taking notes from his ex-girlfriend Brown: He’s going to make sure to always be himself during the journey.

Aside from being a pilot, Weber, 28, is best-known for having sex with Brown four times during their fantasy suite stay in a windmill in Greece. Weber came in third place on Brown’s season.

Weber’s love of flying runs in the family: Weber’s father is also a pilot and his mom was a flight attendant. According to Weber’s Instagram, he currently flies for Delta.

Weber was one of several possible choices for the show’s producers. Tyler Cameron and Mike Johnson, also from Brown’s season, were reportedly top contenders.

Instead, both boys are looking to the stars. Cameron has been spotted dating supermodel Gigi Hadid — he even accompanied her to her grandmother’s funeral. After his appearance on this season of “Bachelor in Paradise,” Johnson has been flirting it up online with Demi Lovato.
