RHOC-Reunion-Gina-Kirschenheiter

It’s not a great day to be Matt Kirschenheiter, but shit happens when you (allegedly) assault your wife. Gina Kirschenheiter has been experiencing some… technical difficulties thus far in 2019. On Real Housewives of Orange County, viewers are watching Gina navigate the fallout of her DUI in January. She has also joined the ranks of Not Really Housewives and moved into her own home after leaving her husband. Gina also admitted her former spouse allegedly had an affair, which has undoubtedly added to her distress.

Sometimes things get worse before they get better. After a relatively calm period and strengthening relapse with Matt, all hell broke loose on June 22. Matt allegedly took it upon himself to put his hands on Gina in a violent manner. While their children were at home. That caveman move effectively ended his career, his marriage, and got him a mugshot. Now after months of his fate hanging in the balance, it’s time for Matt to pay the piper.

Ugh, what a horrible incident. As we all know, domestic violence is a tragic epidemic. Clearly, no one is exempt from suffering abuse, not even people in the public eye. Matt has been completely unseen during Gina’s tenure on RHOC. The excuse being he, “could not film for work” is boring but valid.

This didn’t stop me fans from speculating ‘ole Matt was going to KFC and ordering a side-piece. Anywalkingredflag, Matt and Gina actually seemed like they were on the up and up. Gina even gushed over Matt in a Father’s Day Instagram post. But all good things must come to an end.

After Gina returned home from a night out in late June, she was allegedly woken up by Matt banging on her door. Gina let him in the house and a vicious fight ensued. Matt was arrested and Gina immediately went for a restraining order. After the order was granted, a nasty custody battle erupted.

There was the usual mudslinging from both parties with Gina winning primary custody of their children. During this entire ordeal, Matt has remained unchanged of a crime. Now the District Attorney has busted open a can of whoop-ass.

According to TMZ, Matt just got blasted with TWO felony charges related to “the incident”. Check this out, Matt ALLEGEDLY “inflicted corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition” upon Gina. There are no details listed regarding the false imprisonment charge. It usually means the aggressor prevented the victim from leaving the home.

I’m guessing the reason it took so long to charge him was in an effort to secure evidence? Man, I hope Matt likes a starched jumpsuit. Obviously, these details are incredibly disturbing, especially as children were in residence during Matt’s trip to rock bottom. Keep in mind, this event hasn’t occurred yet in the season we are currently watching. Hopefully, with the implementation of these charges, Matt will be held accountable for his alleged crime and Gina can work on a positive future.
