How’s this for a change? A reality TV star is making headlines for actually paying their debts. Usually, reality stars are in the news because of all the money they still owe. Then again, Porsha Williams was behind on her taxes in the first place, so this isn’t exactly a victory. Still, it is a step in the right direction.

At least she’s putting that money from her Real Housewives of Atlanta spin-off show and her hair line to good use. Does she still have that hair line, by the way? It’s very unclear.

Anyway, according to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Porsha paid $28,000 to settle an unpaid tax bill. She was hit with a tax lien on April 29, but she actually originally owed the government $19,935. Thanks to interest and penalties, that number got rounded up to $28,000.

Hopefully, this means that Porsha’s tax issues are finally behind her. This isn’t the first time that she’s has tax-related issues. Earlier in 2019, she was hit with a much bigger tax lien for $240,624.10 for the years 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, and 2017. How does that even happen? Did she just think she had to pay taxes every couple of years? Why pay one year and then skip two in such a weird pattern. Thankfully, she paid off that debt as well.

It’s time for Porsha to hire an accountant or just get a calendar so she can set reminders to pay her taxes on time. She and many other reality TV stars. Her costar Kenya Moore’s man Marc Daly owes some money to Uncle Sam as well.
