Tom Holland Is Excited For Spider-Man: Far From Home’s Re-Release For A Pretty Sweet Reason

Movies

All eyes have been on Tom Holland in the past couple weeks following the Disney/Sony break-up over his Spider-Man franchise. Is he doing okay? The 23-year-old actor has kept up a positive attitude amidst the news, showing optimism for the future of his iconic character. As Spider-Man: Far From Home is back in theaters this weekend for a special re-release, he has a cute reason to be excited for it. Check it out:

As Tom Holland comments in his Instagram post, he’s especially excited to see his pal Tuwaine Barrett have his feature film debut! The fellow young actor held the role of Officer Bristow in a previously deleted sequence that will now be available to see in the extended cut. Way to support your friends! Looks like the pair have shared a long history as bros over the past few years too. Tuwaine Barrett just posted this:

Wow, they must go way back! It’s adorable that these buds have remained friends throughout the madness of Tom Holland becoming Spider-Man and Tuwaine Barrett gets to share it with him with the re-release of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Barrett has previously guest-starred on British television shows such as A Discovery of Witches and Silent Witness and recently had a role in critically-acclaimed Sundance film The Last Tree. There’s nothing like Spider-Man pumping you up, though!

The Spider-Man: Far From Home extended cut includes four minutes of unseen footage toward the beginning of the film. Jon Watts previously removed a scene where Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is going through his to-do list before taking his European vacation. During the sequence, he makes use of his Spider-Bot to cut the passport line, talks to convenience store owner Mr. Delmar from Homecoming, gets rid of Star Wars action figures at a pawn shop, and fights of thugs in the Iron Spider suit.

Parts of the sequence were shown in the initial trailers for Far From Home, so some fans were sad to miss them in the theatrical release. Now they have a chance to see it on the big-screen with this extended cut! Far From Home follows in the footsteps of Avengers: Endgame, which was re-released a few months after its initial release with more scenes.

You can see Spider-Man: Far From Home again in theaters this weekend! Are you interested in checking it out? Sound off in the comments.
