Life has been anything but easy for Meghan Edmonds lately. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum has been dealing with marital problems and some medical issues with one of her sons.
In June, her slimy husband Jim “Dad Jeans” Edmonds admitted to sexting with another woman but denied any actual physical contact. Is that supposed to make it acceptable, Jim?
Jim even shared a video of himself with his sexting partner on the same day that Meghan gave birth to their twins. That is so disgusting. The mother of three was distraught when she first learned of her husband’s extramarital activities in June.
In an interview with Daily Mail in mid-July, the former RHOC star confirmed that the couple was still together. “We’re still married, we’re still together, we’re not separated. We’re in the family home, we’re in the same bed. We’re not having therapy, we’re talking,” Meghan explained. Sigh.
Maybe the fact that Jim was at the hospital with Meghan while their son, Hart, underwent an MRI spoke volumes to Meghan about her husband’s commitment to their family. Hart and his twin brother, Hayes, were born in June of 2018. Sadly, the results were not what Meghan and Jim had hoped for.

In her blog, Meghan shared that “Hart has irreversible brain damage, it’s called PVL. She [the neurologist] said that this explains all of my concerns: the rigidity in his muscles, the (somewhat) delayed physical milestones, the lack of fluidity with arm and leg movements, the stiffness in joints, the weakness in his lower back, the somewhat favored use of his right side,” Meghan wrote. “He is at risk for being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and will be monitored.” Meghan confessed that she always knew that there was something different about Hart, and she insisted that her son have an MRI.
Meghan then reflected on what Hart’s diagnosis meant to their family. “That night Jimmy and I went out to dinner for the first time in weeks. I explained to Jimmy how we are not somehow compromised or punished for having a child with special needs (whatever that may or may not mean!), we are BLESSED. I will go on about this another time but just know that I do not see his diagnosis as anything but a gift: we were chosen to take on this special person,” Meghan remarked.

Meghan took to her Instagram to share some exciting news. “Hart stood today for the first time! And I’m not talking for a half second, he stood for almost a whole minute! My mom was there and got to see it and take pics and even a video of the end,” Meghan revealed. “Both his PT and OT were there (and this wasn’t during therapy). Only a week into intensive therapy @napacenter and this boy’s development is exploding! (And so is my heart!) What a special and incredible moment! #gohartgo”
What an incredible milestone to reach. There is not doubt that Meghan will do whatever it takes to help Hart, and I wish them the best as this family navigates this medical journey together.
