Bethenny Frankel Writes Personal Note To Fans Following Real Housewives Of New York Exit

Just because we’ve done this before, it doesn’t mean that it is easy. In case you missed it, Bethenny Frankel left Real Housewives of New York. Again. She announced the news yesterday and I don’t know about you, but, for me the term “blindsided” wasn’t enough to define my shock.

She just came off of a such a solid season. RHONY had such a great cast of women who party, argue, and make up, in the most perfect cycle. Where does the show go from here!? Bethenny’s absence came completely out of nowhere and I am so embarrassed to admit that I am still processing it.

After the news broke, Bethenny posted a screenshot from the VERY FIRST Real Housewives of New York introduction, which included her original tagline “New York City is my playground.” Truly iconic.

B wrote, “I wanted to take a moment to write a personal note to you. I am so grateful to you for sticking with me through everything. You started this journey with me in my tiny apartment in my late 30s, wondering what would happen to me. I was broke, single, had no family and no idea what the future held.”

Wow, Bethenny, wow. We’ve really seen her evolve from Jill Zarin’s long-time plus one dating a bald Jason (no, not that Jason) to a philanthropic millionaire and mother.

Bethenny worked hard. There’s no doubt, but she knows the RHONY fandom was (and still is) a major part of her success. She told her followers, “You helped me to get here. I would read your letters and messages and grow from your struggles. You would give me your honest opinion about my products and projects and helpful advice about divorce, relationships, motherhood, miscarriages, health, and surviving the death of a loved one and almost my own. You have shared your ideas with me and I have been inspired by and learned from you.”

Aside from thanking her supporters, she also provided some words of encouragement: “GO for it. Whatever it is. Reach for your dreams in life and love and make the impossible happen, because it can happen and it WILL happen. Come from a place of yes and it’s yours for the taking.” And, no, I don’t think it is a coincidence that Bethenny referenced her own book titled A Place Of Yes in that last sentence. This is Bethenny, after all. Always promoting something, even in a “thank you” note.

Bethenny also wrote, “Thank you so much for your love and support.”

She also teased some other project(s) in the works: “And stay tuned, you haven’t seen the last of me. There are many amazing things to come.”

Bethenny told the fans, “I love you all and am so lucky to have you in my life!” And she concluded it all with her Season 1 tagline- “PS: New York City is still my playground.” Yes. It. Is.
